In Round One of the NFL 2010

The NFL draft took place on April 22, 2010 where many young, promising athletes awaited their professional future.  Among those athletes was Tim Tebow, the outstanding quarterback from the University of Florida.

The Denver Broncos surprised many observers by drafting Tim Tebow in the First Round as the overall 25th pick.  An emotional Tebow got the news with friends and family in Florida.  “Only one team has to want you,” Tebow said.  “This time it was a great coach in coach McDaniels.  I am so blessed to go there.”

As the AAU Sullivan Award Recipient in 2007 as the Amateur Athlete of the Year, the Amateur Athletic Union would like to congratulate Tim Tebow on this great success and step into the next phase of his football career.  All of the AAU and especially the youth Football participants will enjoy watching Tebow show his leadership and athletic ability in the National Football League.
