Lions Gobble 1st Annual Flag Football Junior Turkey Bowl Championship
On Saturday, November 16, 2002, the Canal Street Recreation Center sponsored the 1st Annual Flag Football Junior Turkey Bowl. There were four teams vying for the Turkey Bowl. These teams were Wilmington, NC, Conway Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club, Canal St. Bulldogs, and the Canal St. Titans. Wilmington Community Boys & Girls Club won the Flag Football Junior Turkey Bowl Championship in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as they defeated the Canal St. Titans 30-23.
