More than 20 teams made it out for the inaugural AAU Spring National Championships in Charleston, North Carolina. Seven different age divisions (6U to 14U) battled it out over the four-day tournament, bringing teams from as far as New Jersey to compete with the best of the best for the spring season.

ORLANDO, Fla. - More than 20 teams made it out for the inaugural AAU Spring National Championships in Charleston, North Carolina. Seven different age divisions (6U to 14U) battled it out over the four-day tournament, bringing teams from as far as New Jersey to compete with the best of the best for the spring season.
For the 6U division, the Royal Hornets dominated the competition going 25-0 in the championship game over the Carolina Defenders.
The Kingsway Dragons took home the 8U championship trophy after defeating the Queens City Seminoles 13-7. The Dragons went 3-1 for the tournament, with their one loss in a nail-biter of a game against the NC United, 7-6.
Kingsway also took home the 9U title as they defeated the Junior Hawks, 19-0. The Dragons went undefeated through all four games.
For the 10U division, the North Carolina United were the defeated champions, taking the title game 6-0 over the Kingsway Dragons.
The Jacksonville Storm Elite stole the show during the 12U National Championship game, soundly taking the 40-6 win over Kingsway Dragons.
In the 13U division, the East Carolina Alpha Dawgs took home the trophy after defeating the 13U Junior Hawks.
The 14U title game definitely gave fans a run for their money, the Junior Hawks and North Carolina United were matched play-for-play through six (6) overtimes. The Junior Hawks defense sealed the game with an interception, ending the bout 18-12.

Next Up: Teams will continue through their fall schedule of games, ending with the three biggest National Championships in December- AAU West Coast National Championships (Location TBD), AAU Unrestricted National Championships (Little Rock, AR) and AAU League-Based National Championships (Orlando, FL).
